Auf Geht’s got our 2021 Oktoberfest season started with a great week in Addison Texas. What a great festival and a fun weekend! It was wonderful to see so many people out enjoying happy music, good food and drink and lots of Gemütlichkeit! We enjoyed catching up with all of our friends in Alpenmusikanten, The Walburg Boys, Das Ist Lustig, The Tuba Meisters, and the Alpine Village Band and making some new friends in Bohemian Blitz.
Randy spent the week before the festival working with Jason Baen of Paulaner USA and the Addison Oktoberfest folks doing media promo spots on Dallas area morning TV shows.
The Band played Thursday down at what used to be called “The Bowl Stage” but is now “The Musikzelt”. Epicenter Productions did an outstanding job with sound and lighting for us! We hope to see more of them in the future! We enlisted the help of our friend Paul Durapau of the Alpenmusikanten to play drums for us for our Saturday and Sunday shows in the big tent, “The Party Halle”. What a treat to get to work with Paul. The crowds were awesome, the weather was great, and a good time was had by all! Many thanks to the folks at Addison Oktoberfest for having us back and for taking all the steps and precautions to put on a safe and successful Oktoberfest!
